PRAYER CASCADE

The Prayer Cascade is for members of Teams in GB who wish to ask friends in Teams to join them in prayer for a personal or family concern.

The prayer cascade is a closed (not public) email group.  So first, anyone who wishes to receive prayers on the cascade should subscribe to the list (see below).

ASKING FOR PRAYERS

To add a prayer to the cascade use your own subscribed email to send your message to:  TeamsPrayers@googlegroups.com

Please DO NOT use the prayer cascade for any administration, campaigns or other issues, no matter how worthy.

TO CHANGE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS OR JOIN / LEAVE THE PRAYER CASCADE

Members can change or subscribe new emails by using the form on the link below.  As part of the process, members will receive an email from Googlegroups to verify their subscription – they must respond with confirmation to complete the subscription or change.

In addition this form can also be used to ask questions about the prayer cascade, but not to ask for prayers.

The email addresses of 300 Teams members are subscribed.  Please ask, occasionally at your Team meeting about receiving requests on the Prayer Cascade.

INTERCESSORS

Sixty years ago, Father Henri Caffarel echoed these words as he sought volunteer couples to form a chain of prayer throughout the night.  His aim was to have couples succeed each other continuously in prayer every night, between midnight and six in the morning.  Father Caffarel’s concern was that with the rapid increase in the number of Teams, its continuing vitality needed the Spiritual food of Prayer.

The volunteers were to pray for the Movement, but also for other couples, especially those who depended on them as they faced difficult moments in their lives.  He urged the couples to unite their prayers with all those great Saints of Night Prayer, Carmelites, Trappists, Benedictines…who offer their prayer intentions for all of humanity.  They, in their turn, would receive the Grace of Prayer.  And so, the Teams Intercessors were born.
